Join us for the 56th Chicano Moratorium as we honor the legacy of our ancestors who struggled against the injustices done against our people. The fighting spirit of our heroes live on through our collective and continued fight for justice, self-determination and liberation.

August 29th is our Chicano Liberation Day. As part of this community event, we will have a pop-up market and a live band featuring vendors and musicians from the community. Furthermore, we are bringing together activists from all corners of the movement to speak on local Chicano issues in a live panel.

This year, the Chicano movement in Austin will make history by observing the Moratorium for the first time in decades! We invite you and your friends to come join us at this historical event!

El 29 de Agosto es nuestro Día de la Liberación Chicana. Vamos a tener un mercado temporal y una banda en vivo, con vendedores y músicos de la comunidad. Además, reuniremos a activistas de todas las partes del movimiento para hablar sobre temas Chicanos locales en un panel en vivo.

Este año, el movimiento Chicano en Austen hará historia al observar la Moratoria por primera vez en decadas. ¡Te invitamos a ti y a tus amistades a que vengan con nosotros a este evento histórico!
